2. From photo to painting template

A detailed painting template is then created from the uploaded photo. To do this, a sophisticated computer programme converts the photo design into individual shades of colour and numbers every shade. Ravensburger then use their experience to pick out the best variants on the computer preview and they are sent to the customer for approval and selection.

3. The trick with numbers

Once the customer gives the go-ahead, the painting template then goes to the factory. There the generated lines and numbers will be applied to high-quality canvas panel. The result starts as a mysterious-looking labyrinth and as the numbered sections are filled in, it becomes an individual picture.

What a colour palette! Each individual painting set contains the colours you choose. Ravensburger has mixed the various nuances - water-based acrylic paints that cover and dry well - into the finest shades, numbered them and sealed them in small containers. That way nothing can go wrong when you're painting.

The canvas with the painting template, paint pots, paint palette and brush: In a separate area, you'll find all the components of the personalised "my Painting by Numbers" packaged in a high-quality metal box - each individual painting set is put together with care and repeatedly inspected.

8. The joy of painting
